Privacy policy

When you contact us. If you send an enquiry, we collect what you enter: your name, email address, phone number, company and message, and the type of project you are interested in. We also record which page of our website you sent it from and the first page of your visit, so we know which of our work brought you to us.

When you browse the site. Like most websites, ours uses cookies and similar technologies. They record things such as the pages you visit, how you arrived, your browser and device type, and an approximate location based on your IP address. This information does not tell us who you are.

• To reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to deliver your project.
• To understand how people use the website so we can improve it.
• To measure our advertising and to show our ads to people who have visited the site (often called retargeting).

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.

We use these services, which may set cookies or collect information from your browser:

• Google Analytics, to measure how the site is used.
• Google Ads, to measure our ads and show them to past visitors.
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram), through the Meta Pixel, to measure our ads and show them to past visitors.
• Adobe Fonts, which supplies the typefaces on this site.

These providers handle information under their own privacy policies and may store it on servers outside New Zealand.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also control the ads you see in your Google ad settings and Meta ad preferences, and opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

We only share personal information with the providers that help us run the business, such as our website host, email provider and the services listed above, and only so they can provide that service. We will also share it if the law requires us to.

Some of these providers are based overseas. When information goes overseas we take reasonable steps to make sure it is protected in a way that is comparable to New Zealand law.

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond and to look after any work that follows, and then delete them. Website usage data is kept for the period set in Google Analytics, currently a maximum of 14 months.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. The website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and enquiries are stored on systems that only our team can reach.

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email enquiries@ideology.co.nz and we will respond within 20 working days.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
